Former Tembisa police officer, Rosemary Ndlovu, has been found guilty of six murders including that of her sister, her nephew, and her lover.
Judgment was handed down on Friday by Judge Ramarumo Monama who also found her guilty of insurance fraud for pocketing R1.4m in life insurance claims.
"I am satisfied that the state has proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt and the version of the accused is rejected as not (being) reasonably possibly true," he said.
Ndlovu had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
She was arrested in 2018 following the deaths of her live-in-lover, Maurice Mabasa, Witness Madala Homu, Audrey Ndlovu, Zanele Motha, Brilliant Mashego, and Mayeni Mashego and pocketed the insurance payouts.
In his judgment, Judge Monamo found Ndlovu guilty on charges of defeating the administration of justice and several counts of insurance fraud.
"On the conspiracy, I found that the state has not proven its case beyond reasonable doubt and the accused is not found guilty and discharged on that count," he said.
