A man accused of stealing R200 000 from his employer, Fidelity Security Services, is expected to make a second court appearance in Sasolburg next week.
The 48-year-old Japhet Khumalo appeared in court on Friday last week and was remanded in custody.
Police Spokesperson Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu says Khumalo's boss became suspicious when a daily inspection of an ATM machine showed that the money he was supposed to load was missing.
The Hawks were immediately summoned and their investigation led them to Khumalo's house in Vlakfontein where they recovered a bag containing suspected stolen cash.
Khumalo will be back in court on the 18th of October when he is expected to apply for bail.
