The newly formed political party, ActionSA, is calling on all South Africans whose businesses and properties have been damaged during the recent violent protests to join their class-action lawsuit.
ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba briefed the media on Wednesday on what he calls, a groundbreaking lawsuit against the government.
He said they will officially pursue a lawsuit against President Cyril Ramaphosa, Police Minister Bheki Cele, members of the Security Cluster and the ANC, amongst others.
"This will be a class-action lawsuit unlike anything seen in our history," Mashaba said.
Violent protests broke out in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng last week and it has since spread to other parts of the country.
The protests were sparked by the incarceration of former President, Jacob Zuma.
Mashaba said the party will be suing the government as it failed to take decisive and preventative action during the mass illegal gathering outside Nkandla which subsequently led to the protests.
The party says the legal team handling the lawsuit will be doing so pro bono.
