The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has announced the fuel price adjustments for April.
Spokesperson, Robert Maake says 93 octane petrol will increase by 65 cents per liter and 95 octane by 67 cents.
The price of diesel (0.05% sulphur) will increase by 3.22 cents per liter while 0.005% sulphur diesel will decrease by 1.78 cents per liter.
The price of illuminating paraffin will decrease by 29 cents per liter and LP gas by 19 cents per kilogram.
Maake says the average price of Brent Crude oil increased during the period under review while the Rand appreciated against the US Dollar, which led to lower contributions to the Basic Fuel Prices of all products by over 10 cents per liter.
He says the Minister of Finance, in his Budget Speech earlier this year, increased the carbon fuel levy by one cent per liter on both petrol and diesel.
