Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba has received the long-term turnaround strategy for South African Airways.
The public enterprises department announced in March that Gigaba had removed suspended SAA acting chief executive Vuyisile Kona from the airline's board.
A number of SAA board members, including chairwoman Cheryl Carolus, unexpectedly quit last year before the annual general meeting in October, when their term was due to end.
Last year, Gigaba established a task team to develop a turnaround strategy after SAA's annual general meeting, where a R1.3b operating loss, for the year ended March 31, 2012, was reported.
