The SABC and production company MMSV violated the human rights of the Generations actors by making their salaries public.
That's according to actress Nambitha Mpumlwana, one of several sacked actors who addressed a media briefing in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
MMSV owner, Mfundi Vundla told reporters on Friday that the soapie stars received an average salary of R55 000 a month, which was not "peanuts" as they had claimed.
But, Mpumlwana, who plays the role of Mawande in the soapie, said it was unethical for him to do this.
Mpumlwana, and 15 other Generations actors who were fired last week after they went on strike, formed the Generations Actors Guild, in a bid to improve the salaries and working conditions of the 16 actors, and all other actors at the SABC.
