Police were investigating.
On February 24, a Gautrain bus operating on the Midrand route was shot at. No one was injured, but the bus was slightly damaged. The company said it was of great concern and might have been linked to the illegal strike by bus drivers.
In January, drivers went on strike because they wanted MegaExpress, the Gautrain bus operating company, to provide them with transport from their homes to their workplace every day. The company fired over 300 drivers in February as a result of the strike.
