Three fires have been raging through the Garden Route since Friday.
Eden district municipal spokesperson, Herman Pieters confirmed that one of the fires in Friemersheim near Great Brak River, was still out of control.
Pieters said the fire was burning "in almost all directions".
He said more than 70 firefighters have been working in 12-hour shifts on all the fire lines in Friemersheim.
Four houses have since burnt down and others had to be evacuated but no injuries were reported.
Pieters said strong wind and high temperatures were not helping the situation.
He said a fire in Herold was still burning in the mountains while another fire is burning on the southern side of George.
Pieters said although firefighters from Herold and George asked for assistance, all resources are trying to bring the Friemersheim fire under control.
