Cash strapped motorists will be eager to get to the pumps on Tuesday to fill up their tanks before fuel prices go up at midnight.
According to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, it will cost 26 cents more a litre to fill up with 95 octane petrol.
Diesel will increase by at least 41 cents a litre and illuminating paraffin will retail for an additional 36 cents a litre.
The Department said the main reason for the fuel price adjustments was increased oil prices.
The average Brent Crude oil prices increased from $66 to $73 during the period under review.
