Free State police have arrested four more people for being in the illegal possession of anti-retroviral drugs.
According to Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, three men and a woman were arrested on Thursday night in Thabong after police, acting in a tip-off, found two boxes containing ARV's in their vehicle.
He said they were travelling from Kroonstad to Thabong when they were apprehended.
"The vehicle which was driven by a female was stopped and searched and police found 160 tablet containers inside two boxes. The two boxes were confiscated together with the motor vehicle," Makhele said.
Three men, aged between 31 and 43 and a 34-year-old woman were arrested and detained in Welkom.
They are due to appear in court soon.
This is the third such arrest made by Free State police following the arrest last Thursday of two men at the Bloemfontein station who were found with boxes and bags full of anti-retroviral tablets.
One of the men is an employee of the Eastern Cape Health Department.
Members of Welkom's Tactical Response Team also arrested three people outside Ventersburg last Friday for being in possession of 265 bottles of ARV tablets.
