A Free State man was killed in a mob justice attack at Reitz in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Thandi Mbambo says the police were called to the scene in the Petsana township just after 3 am, where a man was found with bruises, burnt legs and multiple stab wounds.
It is alleged that the victim was attacked by a mob of unknown people who accused him of raping a woman.
Mbambo says the victim was rushed to a local hospital where he died on arrival.
No arrests have yet been made and a case of murder is under investigation.
