A racketeering and fraud case against Northern Cape ANC chairman John Block, has been postponed for a year.
The matter was put on hold in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The National Prosecuting Authority says the postponement was due to a constitutional challenge to the NPA’s racketeering certificate.
The matter will be back in court on the 31st of January 2014.
The charges relate to allegations that Northern Cape government departments purchased water purification equipment at inflated prices in 2005 and 2006.
