Four people are in police custody in Parow following their arrest for dealing and purchasing liquor, which is illegal under the Disaster Management Act.
Spokesperson Captain Andre Traut says they acted on a tip-off which led them to business premises in the industrial area where they confiscated alcohol to the value of R1 million.
He says two of the suspects were arrested for selling the liquor and the other two for purchasing it.
The suspects aged 26, 27, 32 and 36 are scheduled to appear in the Parow Magistrates court soon.
