Dialysis machine stolen from a local hospital in KZN in August

A former hospital employee accused of stealing a dialysis machine in Kwazulu Natal has been arrested.
Police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the 27-year-old suspect was arrested in Chatsworth, south of Durban, this week after being on the run for nearly a month.
It is alleged that the suspect entered the hospital at midnight on the 24th of August and removed the machine worth R250 000 to pawn for money.
Captain Gwala says after they arrested the suspect their investigation led them to the Umhlatuzana Township area where the machine was recovered.
The suspect will appear in court on Wednesday on a charge of theft.
