Five killed after allegedly drag racing

 Five people have been killed and three others seriously injured in a drag racing crash in Kagiso on the West Rand.

Sapa reports that a 78-year-old pedestrian and 4 young people in a bakkie were killed when the driver lost control of the vehicle on Tuesday.

The bakkie was apparently racing a car.

According to the report, the second car fled the scene.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
