Five people are due to appear in court soon for impersonating police officers, a soldier and an emergency services employee.
Captain Mavela Masondo, said the arrests were made over the past few days.
He said a police reservist and two other people were arrested and charged with common robbery and impersonating police officers.
During the arrest, they found police uniforms, an unwritten police docket and trays of eggs and chickens inside their vehicle.
This followed a report of a common robbery in Soshanguve in Pretoria on Wednesday.
Masondo said the other two arrests were made on Sunday when a dreadlocked man, wearing an SANDF uniform, was arrested in Heidelberg for being in possession of stolen property.
“Upon interviewing the man, police established that he is not a member of the SANDF,” he said.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man was arrested in Johannesburg after he was found driving a vehicle fitted with red lights and a siren.
Masondo said he could not prove that he was an emergency services employee.
“As police were searching the car, they found an unlicensed firearm with ammunition as well as traffic cones belonging to the South African Police Service,” he said.
