The Hawks in Mpumalanga say two field rangers are due to appear in court in Bushbuckridge on Monday on charges of fraud and corruption linked to wildlife trafficking.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Bonnie Nxumalo, said they were arrested on Saturday in Skukuza.
This followed an investigation by the Mpumalanga-based Hawks' Serious Corruption Investigation team assisted by the Skukuza Stock Theft and Endangered Species Unit during operation Blood Orange.
Nxumalo said the probe also included a look into the financial affairs of the two rangers, aged, 56 and 60.
She said further arrests cannot be ruled out as the investigation is ongoing.
