A farmer and his wife sustained head injuries after they were assaulted with guns on their heads by robbers on their farm in Ladysmith.
Netcare911 says paramedics arrived at their farm on Friday, and began administering medical care to them, and managed to stabilize them.
They were taken to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Reports from the scene indicate that the farmer and his wife were tied up, assaulted and then robbed of some of their belongings, including money.
No arrests have yet been made, and police are investigating.
