Four family members killed in Limpopo head-on collision

Four members of a family were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a delivery truck on the N1 highway near Makhado in Limpopo on Christmas Day.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Ronel Otto says the mother, father and two girls, aged two and 14, died at the scene.

She says they were travelling in a Land Rover.

Two boys from the vehicle survived the accident, while the truck driver was also injured.

Otto said the family and the driver of the delivery truck were all from Zimbabwe.

The boys, aged 7 and 8, together with the truck driver were taken to hospital.

The cause of the accident is not known.
