A family of three died, after falling 30 metres down the Rietfontein waterfall in Mpumulanga.
Sapa reports that the mother and father, as well as their only daughter, aged 13, were on holiday when they tried to cross the river at the top of the waterfall, on a farm 5km outside Sabie.
The family, from Benoni, were apparently walking hand-in-hand when one of them slipped, causing them all to fall over the edge of the waterfall.
A farmworker spotted the mother's body, and police divers later found those of the father and daughter.
They had all sustained serious head injuries.
The couple would have celebrated their 14th anniversary on Monday.
