Eskom says its investigating the cause of slow performance on its prepaid Online Vending System.
The system is used by prepaid customers to purchase electricity tokens.
Eskom says it is important to note that the system is not down but that its performance is slow.
The power utility says customers can still purchase their prepaid tokens but the process may take longer than normal.
Eskom has had technical issues on its vending system last year. Remedial work has been done and the system is more stable but we are still working to improve the performance of the system.
Eskom would like to apologise to customers who are affected for any inconvenience caused. We are working to restore normal levels of performance as soon as possible.
