President Cyril Ramaphosa has officially proclaimed and gazetted the 29th of May as Election Day which will also be a public holiday.
The Presidency said this followed consultations between the President with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC).

The Electoral Commission, meanwhile reminded eligible voters of the general rule of elections.
