TZANEEN, April 14 (ANA) – A 74-year-old woman sustained a serious stab wound during an attack on a farm in Tzaneen in Limpopo on Friday afternoon, the ER24 paramedic service said.
“Shortly before 3pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found bystanders attending to the woman. She was found with a serious knife wound between her neck and shoulder,” ER24 said in a statement.
“It is understood that her son was sitting in the lounge when an unknown amount of men entered the home and attacked him. The woman and her husband came to his aid and were also attacked.”
The woman was on the run from the attackers when she was stabbed. Paramedics found her outside the house.
“Her son and husband sustained only minor scrapes and bruises in the incident.”
According to the paramedics on scene, local community members had joined police in the search for the attackers.
