Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of an elderly man in Pretoria.
The suspects allegedly held the 76-year-old overnight at an undisclosed location in Phillip Nel Park while they emptied his bank accounts at nearby ATMs.
The Hawks in collaboration with Tshwane Metro police and the K9 Unit apprehended two of the suspects moments after they had withdrawn money from the victim's account.
Police say they were found in possession of his bank cards.
The third suspect was arrested shortly afterwards where they were holding the victim who was found in shock but unharmed.
The suspects are due to appear in court soon on charges of kidnapping, extortion and possession of stolen property.
