Limpopo Transport and Community Safety
Eight people were killed during a horror crash on the N1 north near the Baobab Toll Plaza outside Musina in Limpopo early on Saturday morning.
According to the provincial Department of Transport and Community Safety, a minibus taxi apparently overtook unsafely on a barrier line and collided head-on with a light delivery vehicle.
Department spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene says five men and three women died at the scene.
She says eight others sustained injuries and were being transported to nearby health facilities.
