Eight die in Free State taxi crash

A five-month-old baby and seven other people were killed in a taxi accident between Senekal and Steynsrus, in the eastern Free State on Thursday.

Netcare 911's Santi Steinmann says two minibus taxi's were involved in the accident.

Five people were critically injured and 17 others sustained moderate injuries.

The cause of the accident is not known.
