Economists say motorists are likely to pay more for fuel next month.
Analyst, Azar Jammine says the oil price has fallen back in recent weeks from a peak of 128-dollars, to around 117-dollars a barrel.
He says however, the full benefit of the fall will have little effect, because the rand has weakened somewhat over the past few weeks.
The fuel price rose beyond the record-breaking 11-rand-a-litre mark last month.
Jammine says the petrol price is likely to go up by around 17-cents per litre in May.
