PORT ELIZABETH, August 18 (ANA) – Port Elizabeth police are seeking the assistance of the community after a body of man was dumped on the side of a road in Booysens Park.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said it is alleged that a witness was walking on the Old Uitenhage Road in Booysens Park on Wednesday when he noticed a white Mazda sedan stop ahead of him.
“The driver threw something out of the boot of the car and drove off. When the witness came closer, he realised it was a body of an African male,” said Naidu.
Naidu said the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his head. Police said that the deceased was unknown and at the time of this death was wearing a long sleeve grey top and a black pair of tights.
She said anyone who can assist police in identifying the deceased or may know about the circumstances of his death is asked to contact the police.
