A dog that was trapped on the roof of the Engineering Faculty Building of Stellenbosch University has been rescued.
The Stellenbosch Municipality tweeted from their official account that the fire department was called in to assist in the rescue.
It remains unclear exactly how the dog gained access to the roof and it is not sure how long she was up there.
The condition of the dog indicated that she must have been stuck on the roof for quite some time.
She is currently in a stable condition and recovering at a safe foster home.
