A six-month-old baby boy has died after he was bitten by a dog in Primrose, Johannesburg, paramedics said on Wednesday.
”ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 08H15 am. Paramedics were lead into the lounge of the home where they found the body of the child. It was found that he had sustained several serious bite wounds and showed no signs of life,” said ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring.
”Unfortunately, the boy had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done and he was declared dead.”
Police were at the scene to investigate the incident.
