A 38-year-old former police sergeant, who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and her twin sister, was arrested on Tuesday.
The ex-cop is accused of attempting to kill his 32-year-old social worker girlfriend and her twin sister at a village, near Marble Hall, a town in the south of the Limpopo province.
It is alleged that the suspect gained entrance to his ex-girlfriends house after breaking a window before he wildly started stabbing them both.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says a massive manhunt was launched and the suspect was finally arrested on Tuesday where he was hiding at a friends house.
The man was dismissed from the South-African police force in September after he was arrested for an armed robbery.
He will now face two charges of attempted murder and will appear in the Motetma Magistrates court soon.
