Democratic Alliance councillor in Nelson Mandela Bay, Stanford Slabbert, will know his fate on Tuesday.
Slabbert was suspended by the party for distributing an e-mail that slated the government and insulted President Jacob Zuma, saying he had more wives than brain cells.
He faced a disciplinary hearing last month with final heads of argument presented last Thursday.
DA caucus leader in the Metro, Leon de Villiers, says the outcome of the disciplinary hearing will be announced by the presiding officer.
DA provincial leader, Athol Trollip, is expected to make the outcome public.
