Death toll in KZN taxi accident rises to 16

The death toll in Wednesday's horror accident on the R66 in Kwazulu Natal has risen to 16.

This, after three more people, succumbed to their injuries in hospital following a collision between a mini-bus taxi and truck between Ulundi and Melmoth.

The taxi burst into flames on impact.

A stillborn baby was among the victims.

Images of the accident were shared on social media showing bodies, some burnt beyond recognition, and body parts, strewn across the road from the accident scene.
