The Father of one of the suspects, Tharina Human, who was a teacher at Laerskool Kollege Park where the 6-year-old Amy Leigh was snatched, was in court on Monday to support his daughter.
Riaan Botha told journalists that he was happy that both his own daughter and Amy Leigh were safe and alive.
He says they are a very close family and will be trusting the Lord and look towards the future.
The 27-year-old Human appeared alongside the 40-year-old Leticia Nel and the 50-year-old Pieter van Zyl.
Amy Leigh's kidnapping made international headlines when she was grabbed outside her school in Vanderbijlpark a week ago, only to be returned, unharmed, less than 24 hours later.
The Gauteng MEC Panyaza Lesufi also attended Monday's proceedings where he was seen comforting Amy Leigh's parents Wynand and Angeline de Jager.
He says there are a number of learners at the school who asked for counselling and teachers who said they needed support.
Lesufi says parents are also worried about the safety of their children and therefore the Department needed answers.
Human was suspended last week shortly after her arrest.
The suspects will remain in custody until their next court appearance on the 19th of September.
