Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille says they will be approaching the South Gauteng High Court for an urgent order to compel the Independent Communication Authority of SA (Icasa) to hear its complaint against the SABC over the broadcaster's pulling of one of its election advertisements.
Zille says Icasa has not fulfilled its regulatory and constitutional obligations with regards to the handling of the DA's complaint which had to be heard within 48 hours.
The DA had submitted a complaint to Icasa regarding the decision by the SABC to censor the DA's TV and radio adverts.
Zille says the reasons supplied for the decision were spurious.
An Icasa hearing has been set for Thursday, which the DA claimed to be a delaying tactic.
