Cricket South Africa has confirmed that former Proteas, Dolphins, Titans and Lions cricketer, Gulam Bodi, is the intermediary who has been charged under its Anti-Corruption Code.
Bodi has been charged with contriving to fix, or otherwise improperly influence aspects of the 2015 RAM SLAM T20 Challenge Series.
Cricket South Africa Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat says in a statement that following investigations and due process, CSA has reached a point where it can confirm that Bodi is the intermediary who was charged by the organisation in early December 2015 under the CSA Anti-Corruption Code.
Lorgat said Bodi is presently co-operating with CSA Anti-Corruption officials and has been provisionally suspended from any involvement in cricket.
On the 6th of November last year, Cricket South Africa announced that it was gathering intelligence that an international syndicate was attempting to corrupt domestic cricket in South Africa.
