Trade union federation, Cosatu, says it has issued notice of intention to proceed with protest action against labour brokers.
Cosatu's Patrick Craven says they've given notice to the National Economic Development and Labour Council, Nedlac, of the intention to begin the country-wide protests from the 7th of March.
He says the Nedlac Section 77 Standing Committee has now confirmed that there is a deadlock between the social partners at Nedlac on the question of labour brokers.
Craven says following the socio-economic strike on March 7th, the federation will assess the programme of action and decide on the way forward.
