The Health Department says it is busy establishing how the coronavirus was transmitted locally.
This, as the number of confirmed cases, rose overnight to 116 with six new cases of local transmission.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said as part of tracking and tracing these cases the Ministry is collating background information on how these patients were infected.
He says his Ministry will provide information to the public so as to give a sense of how these local transmissions had occurred.
The Minister says, however, that they will not disclose full details as the information is subject to patient confidentiality.
The latest cases were reported in Gauteng, KZN, WC and Mpumalanga.
In Gauteng 16 new cases were confirmed with the youngest being a 3-year-old child who did not travel abroad. The oldest patient is 71.
In Kwazulu Natal another three cases were confirmed with patients between the ages of 54-59.
The Western Cape has 10 new confirmed patients between the ages of 2-68.
The Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and North West and the Free State are still "Corona-free".
