A total of 37 police stations across the country were closed this week as a result of Covid-19.
In most of the cases, the closures were as a result of a staff member testing positive for the virus.
Most of the stations that closed for decontamination were in Gauteng and the Free State.
In the Eastern Cape, the Port Alfred police station was closed earlier this week as well as the Kabega Park station in Port Elizabeth which had to close for a second time.
Meanwhile, the 10111 centre in Port Elizabeth also shut its doors on Thursday after a staff member tested positive for Covid 19.
Most of the stations have re-opened to the public.
The national Coronavirus death toll is expected to reach 3 000 by the end of the week.

Sandringham, Vosloorus, Mahikeng, Parkview, Witbank, Sinoville, Midrand, Devon, Etwatwa, Port Alfred, Piet Retief, Delmas, Rustenburg, Memel, Deneysville, Thabong, Odendaalsrus, Ga-Rankuwa, Douglasdale, Ermelo, Primrose, Sandton, Middelburg in Mpumalanga, Wierdabrug, Parkweg, Zambela, Bethulie, Florida, Diepsloot, Bedfordview, Charles Cilliers, Klerksdorp, Mangaung, Kimberley, Allandridge, Kroonstad and Kabega Park in Port Elizabeth.
