Construction company, Murray & Robberts, working on the pedestrian bridge which collapsed over the M1 highway in Johannesburg on Wednesday, killing two and leaving several more injured, says it is awaiting the outcome of a number of investigations into the incident.
Group CEO, Henry Laas says there are a number of investigations underway to determine the cause or causes of the collapse of the bridge support structure.
He says at this point, they are unable to comment on how long the investigations will take and when they will conclude.
The M1 leading into Sandton was reopened at around 3pm yesterday after the collapse which left 23 people injured.
