Civilian shot in scuffle to disarm a soldier

The SA National Defence Force says a civilian was wounded when members of the public attempted to disarm soldiers conducting a patrol.

The SANDF says the incident happened on Thursday in Mogwadi in Limpopo.

Spokesperson, Jaco Theunissen, says a shot went off during the struggle, wounding the man in the thigh.

He says he received treatment from a local doctor before being taken to hospital.

A case of attempted murder was registered with the police.
