CIT robbery suspects killed in shootout with police

Gauteng police said six cash-in-transit suspects were killed in a shootout with police in Laudium on Monday.

Police said they were allegedly on their way to Atteridgeville to rob a cash van when they were intercepted.

A spokesperson said police attempted to stop the suspects' vehicles when the shootout ensued.

Four firearms were seized on the scene while one suspect was arrested.
