Janusz Walus, the man who murdered SACP leader Chris Hani, has once again been denied parole.
Justice Minister Michael Masutha said on Wednesday that he had asked that further reports on Walus’ frame of mind be submitted in six months.
He stressed that Walus’ political views had not changed, although he had shown remorse for the grief he inflicted on the Hani family.
Minister Masutha said because of the apparent contradictions arising from two psychological reports it was difficult for him to make a determination on the suitability for his placement on parole at this stage.
He said a further profile be submitted in six months time for further consideration.
Walus was jailed for life alongside late former politician Clive Derby-Lewis, who died in 2016 after he was released on parole.
