A Chinese national has been arrested in Cape Town in the biggest perlemoen bust so far this year.
The Department of Environmental Affairs says the man was arrested yesterday in a joint operation that involved the Hawks, Marine and Coastal Management and the Department of Fisheries.
They seized 5-thousand-736 dried perlemoen and confiscated various drying and processing equipment.
