Paramedics from ER24 saved a puppy following a bizarre incident on Saturday where a man tried to sell it on the streets of Cape Town.
The doctor and paramedic on duty offered to buy the puppy for ten rand and immediately noticed it was weak and dehydrated.
The puppy was then rehydrated, bathed and cleaned until it showed positive signs of rehydration.
The puppy is bound to make a full recovery and is currently in foster care.
Spokesperson for ER24 Werner Vermaak says police were notified of the incident and called to the scene where the puppy was being sold.
