Cape Town businessman critically injured in vehicle explosion

Western Cape bomb disposal experts were called to the scene of an explosion inside a vehicle which left a businessman in critical condition on Friday.

Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, said that it was still unclear whether it was a bomb that went off inside a luxury vehicle at around 12.30 pm.

He said the incident occurred after the victim left his house in Stonehurst Mountain Estate which overlooks Constantia Valley.

Van Wyk said the driver was in critical condition in hospital.
