An 11-year-old boy was killed while six other people were wounded when two gunmen opened fire on employees on a Free State farm on Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring, said the young boy was shot in the stomach and died on the scene.
Six other people were wounded and rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Mophiring said two men arrived at Lonia Farm before 10 pm, and without saying anything opened fire on the people in two houses.
The motive behind the shooting is not yet known and cases of murder and six counts of attempted murders are being investigated.
