The body of a two-year-old boy who went missing in a fire at Valhalla Park has been found, the City of Cape Town said on Wednesday.
The boy was found by the police's dog unit at midday on Tuesday, disaster risk management centre spokesman Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said.
"We've taken him to the state mortuary in Salt River to perform an autopsy. We anticipate results today."
Monday's fire displaced 44 people from an informal settlement in the area. The cause of the fire was not known. (Sapa)
