Bheki Cele comes out guns blazing a day after getting the boot

Sacked police commissioner Bheki Cele has come out guns blazing just a day after being given the boot.

Speaking at a media briefing at the National Press Club on Wednesday, Cele lashed out at judge Jakes Moloi who led the Board of Inquiry into his fitness to hold office, the Public Protector who made damning findings on the police lease deals and elements of the media.

In a scathing attack Cele described Moloi's report into his fitness to hold office as scandalous, saying that the judge had been under pressure to find against him.

He said he found it odd that president Jacob Zuma had praised his contribution to the fight against crime but still found it fit to fire him based on judge Moloi's findings.
