Mpumalanga police say they are investigating an alleged road rage incident that left more than 10 people injured in Middelburg on Saturday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Colonel Leonard Hlathi says those injured are being treated at a Middelburg hospital but the exact number of people is still unclear.
He says the incident happened after a minibus taxi allegedly drove recklessly, and the driver of another car allegedly swerved in front of the taxi barricading it not to move further.
Hlathi says the two drivers got out and started to argue. The driver of the car phoned for assistance. and when his backup arrived, a fight that broke out between the group and the passengers in the taxi.
He says the passengers in the taxi were assaulted and a paintball gun was also allegedly fired.
No one was arrested but charges of common assault and assault with the intention to cause serious bodily harm were laid.
